Hirose Products Co., Ltd. was established in 1999, and thanks to the warm support of our customers, we have been committed to the production of skewers ever since.

Our company mainly manufactures and sells bamboo skewers used in various food products, including frankfurters, American corn dogs, oden skewers, yakitori etc., which are sold in convenience stores and supermarkets all over Japan. In addition to these, we also produce and sell items such as ice cream sticks and spoons, not only in Japan but also in Southeast Asia and other parts of the world.

Thanks to the support of all our stakeholders, we have achieved the top sales in Japan for bamboo skewers. This would not have been possible without the cooperation of everyone involved, and we sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude.

Quality control in the food industry has become increasingly important year by year, and today, there is a strong demand for high-quality products, particularly for bamboo skewers and ice cream sticks, which are some of our main offerings. To meet these quality demands, our company has installed our own automatic sorting device with camera image on the sorting line at our factory in Yasugi City, Shimane Prefecture. This is part of our efforts to achieve higher quality, lower costs, and mass production. Moving forward, we will continue to actively invest in technological development, product innovation, and equipment to further enhance our competitiveness.

We believe that making skewers is about appreciating the blessings of nature and sustainably applying them to food. Therefore, we prioritize environmental conservation and aim to transition to materials that are more environmentally friendly. Our company is working on replacing traditional materials, such as wood (birch), with bamboo, which has a faster growth cycle. As of now, most of our products have already transitioned from wood to bamboo. In 2023, we developed bamboo ice cream sticks, which became the first of their kind to be adopted by a major ice cream manufacturer in Japan.
With our efforts to reduce plastic usage, we developed bamboo straws in 2019 and bamboo toothbrushes in 2020. We hope that our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and combat ocean pollution caused by microplastics will inspire more people to take action.

Going forward, we will continue to focus on creating eco-friendly products and contributing to local communities and the global environment. Our goal is to be a company where our employees can feel happiness and fulfillment in their work, as well as helping to make the world a better place.
